I think I can control myself now
hoo boy!  I've managed to write out a list of programs and other things I absolutely NEED on a new computer, and so, once I get all those on here, I've basically fully migrated!  I wanna use this lappy for the rest of the summer so I can get used to it, since I'm going to use it all the time in college and all.

I think, for a drawing program, I might try out GIMP.  can't really pass it up since it's free, anyway, and I'd like to continue doing some nice cged pictures after I've moved in...

also, this laptop has a webcam on it.  it's about a third of the size of my old one but the quality kicks the crap out of it:

AH..no shit fuck bucket. i mean there are people that still have manners. then the people that can't take creative criticism. i mean i have posted comments on those youtube Featured Videos. like the im so gamer vid. i was saying like like well this could be better with out the monotone voice and other shit. well, since the guy can't take criticism he deleted it as soon as i posted it. i looked at all the comment since that happen. it was all comment praising his vid. if you going to make it in the world take criticism. please for the love of any thing good, don't be so self centered to think everything you do is great.

And now for something completely different.
1. Reply to this post and I'll assign you a letter.
2. List (and upload, if you feel like it) 5 songs that start with that letter.
3. Post them to your journal with these instructions.

My letter: E!

1. Easy Target by Blink 182

I'll admit it--I like this band. And this is probably one of my favorite songs by them. It's insanely catchy.

2. Ebaums World Dot Com by Lemon Demon
Pretty funny (and true, from what I've heard...I'm not too informed on the whole situation, I'll admit) song, with a good video.

3. Evening Wear by Mindless Self Indulgence

Not the best song on If (that would probably be Prescription, Get It Up, or Mark David Chapman...I can't decide, dammit!), but not the worst either (that would be Money). Pretty good overall.

4. The End Of The Line by The Offspring

A totally rockin' and very depressing song. What can I say? I like sad music.

5. The End Of The Tour by They Might Be Giants

Savin' the best for last here. Oh God, this song is SO FUCKING AMAZING. It's easily the most beautiful song I've ever heard--my absolute favorite song ever, in fact. And it fits my OTP beautifully, though that's just an added bonus. The lyrics are perfect, the music is perfect, the vocals are perfect...

John Linnell, I want to have your babies.

ANNA'S AMAZING ADVENTURES ABROAD
FUCK YEAH! I JUST got back from the airport (long flight was LOOOONG!), and, of course, I feel the need to BLOG ABOUT EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENED.

Okay, so the plane ride to Rome was really long, obviously, though we did have a layover in Amsterdam. The flight to Amsterdam sucked for the following reasons:

1. No legroom.
2. The guy in front of me had his seat leaned WAY back, so I couldn't rest my head or draw or anything.
3. I WAS STUCK IN THE MIDDLE ROW. GODDAMMIT.
4. Did I mention that it was long? BECAUSE IT WAS. IT REALLY WAS.

So yeah, the flight wasn't very fun. But then we got to Rome! We stayed in this tiny little hotel called the Flower Garden Hotel (don't ask me why the name was in English, 'cause I have no idea), and we went out for REAL ITALIAN FOOD FROM ITALY, which was delicious (and delicous). I ate an entire pizza. XD Also, apparently I'm old enough to drink in Italy, so I got to have a little bit of wine.

The next day, we boarded the ship: the Celebrity Galaxy. (Sounds like the name of a tabloid, doesn't it? XD) Our room was very small and incredibly cramped, and there was no bath, just a shower, but there was a balcony, so it all evened out.

The one other problem with the ship was the lack of decent vegetarian entrees at dinner. (We went to the buffet for breakfast and lunch, and I still managed to gain five pounds over the course of the cruise, so I guess I still ate a lot.) Other than that, it was incredibly awesome and the staff was great and I actually spent an entire night hanging out with kids my own age (a rarity for me). We played the penis game, which was pretty funny.

So anyway, the shore excursions were fabulous. We saw Mount Etna, toured tons of ruins (including Pompeii!), shopped a bunch (I got a black fisherman's cap and a really neat patchwork shirt), and generally just explored. It was very cool.

After the cruise, we spent another day in Rome, where we saw the Colosseum.

Then we all went home. The end.

GADGETEERING
fdshgdhhh EXCUSE ME RIGHT NOW I'M HYPER-ELATED

this summer vacation is the summer of being-stuck-at-home-and-dealing-with-family-issues, but ALSO the summer of AWESOME NEW GADGETS.

sorry if I sound like I'm bragging here, I really don't want to come across as such.  but I'm just really happy right now so I just...FSDKJGHSDKHG HAPPY AFDSGG

welllllll first I got a new tablet but that was a while ago, and then a flash drive, also a while ago but I never had one before....and then my dad gave me an SD card-based MP3 player he's not using anymore, so I've been fiddling around with that....and then I got a DS Lite because my old DS was losing battery strength and the touch screen was losing responsiveness (holy crap the DSL's bright)....

and then my new laptop for college came today.  fdskjfhdfdsg

I wouldn't be so excited except this is the first computer that's 100% mine (though this computer right now is, my dad installed stuff on it for me and whatever and so I dunno what half the programs do), and it has specs that are twice as much (or more!!) than this current one.  dsafasfsfsf

I intend to keep it clean and neat so it'll stay nice and speedy.  nnnn *_____*

THIS IS ALSO FUNNY CUZ I WAS CRYING THIS MORNING.  THIS DAY IS BIPOLAR.

BBL GUYS FIDDLING WITH NEW TOY

I thought some of the fabrics I bought were expensive. D: Wow.

Apparently mohair comes from a certain type of goat and is removed without hurting the animal. I've never used any animal byproducts before in any plush. I wonder how soft it is though. For THAT price I won't bother to find out. XD;

You Really Crossed the LIEne by stealing this hat design. >:|
LMFAO holy shit. I'm so sorry about that last entry. D= But I dunno I was just... PERPETUALLY ANGRY on Wednesday, LMFAO. DAMN. But uh yeah again sorry about that. Posting now to get angry entry off top of page. :3

In any case I STILL NEED TO GET THIS CHAPTER OF 100 DONE OH MY GOD. LMFAO It's because I've been reading this week more than writing, seriously I'm reading up to three books at once now. It's so retarded and RIDCULOUS AND RETARDICULOUS but I love to read. :3 Mmmkay. For starters I'm reading the Book Club (Reading Is Stylish ;D It should be Reading Is Sexy but maybe I'll suggest that at the next meeting! <3) read, "Sabriel" by Garth Nix. (For those of you screaming OMFG THAT NAME SOUNDS FAMILIOAR well IT SHOULD. ;D He's the brilliantly talented mind behind the Seventh Tower series. <333 OH WOW.) And just. LMFAO GEEZE I forgot how AWESOMELY creative Garth Nix's writing was before I picked Sabriel up. Sabriel, for those of you not in the know, is about the daughter of a sort-of necromancer who goes looking for her father when his spirit becomes trapped in the Death Realms by a very powerful evil force that seeks to unlock the malevolent dead spirits on the Old Kingdom with the Abhorsen's power drained. ;3 It's such an awesome read, and once again Nix almost startles me with how well he manages to just construct an entire WORLD around a few concepts and make it believable. I don't know why he isn't as renowned as Salvatore and a few of the other writers out there. D: Seriously, he's one of the most underrated fantasy authors ever omg. BUT UH YEAH THIS ISN'T ME NUDGING ANYONE READING THIS TO PICK UP HIS WORK OR ANYTHING MY GOD THAT WOULD BE A SILLY THOUGHT STOP THINKING THAT RIGHT NAO. =D!!

The other book I'm reading is the latest in Christine Warren's Other series, Walk on the Wild Side. ;D LMFAO in which even the ITT A LION joke doesn't ruin this for me. I admit that I'm cheating and reading the latest installment rather than books two through foar, since I already read one, but I'm not confused so I GUESS THAT'S NOT A BAD SIGN. :> LMFAO Christine Warren's books are a pretty good read too, since yeah they're romance books, but they're not corny or trashy like most romance novels are. If this is her first series, I think she'll really come along if she decides to like, do a more suspense-oriented series with romance on the side or something, since she does a pretty good job with both and I'd love to see that from her. =D Also, I like the characters she's created so far, like Quinn. <3 ;3 Because seductive Irish werewolf is do want, I guess. And while they're fantasy romance novels, at least Warren's series features werewolves, demons, faeries, even werelions and not just fucking VAMPIRES.

Oh lord that brings me to another point that's bothering me, and I actually meant to make a post of this earlier this week, but never summoned the desire to until now when I've just now remembered it. Why is everyone and their effing GRANDMOTHER FOCUSING STRICTLY ON VAMPIRES NOW? LMFAO and no, I swear to God this is not just my imagination. At the last meeting of RIS, I was looking for the next book in Warren's series, and I was skimming other books on the side and EVERY OTHER BOOK WAS ABOUT "OH SUSIE/KATHERINE/AHSDFA IS IN LUV W/ A VAMPIRE HOW WILL THURR LUV SURVIVVVVE LMFAOOOOO" and yes. I do think the LMFAO on there was kind of strange, but maybe that's just me. D': BUT YEAH. Jesus people what the hell? D: Every other book is about effing VAMPIRES now that the Twilight series seems to have reached other people. :| Dude, in my personal opinion vampires are completely overrated anyway, I SWEAR it's just like the whole witch/wizard/magic trend when the Harry Potter series began to peak in its popularity. Werewolves, witches, demons and faeries are people too damnit. D:< WRITE ABOUT THEM GAWD. (Christ, LMFAO the next book we're supposed to read in RIS after Sabriel is Blue Bloods which is another vampire book. Trey and I are gonna piss all over that book since we both don't care much for vampires. :3 STILL WANNA READ SNOW CRASH BTW!!)

and another ironic note that is due for making is that during the midnight release of the next Twilight book, at the bookstore RIS meets at, there's also gonna be a blood drive going on at the same time. LMFAOOAFSD the woman behind the counter told us "WE SWEAR THAT IT'S A COINCIDENCE" but. SUUURE. ;D

So uh. The third book I'm reading is Left Behind, by Lahaye and Jenkins. LMFAO I haven't gotten far enough into it to give judgment yet, but to my knowledge it's about life on Earth after The Rapture for all the people who were left behind after Jesus banhammer'd them from heaven. =[ LMFAO IT DOES SOUND INTERESTING THOUGH. So I will read it after I finish Sabriel and Walk on the Wild fat. but uh. oh yeah still need to finish that chapter of 100. LMFAO SHIT!!

WELL There you go, something infinitely moar positive. AND NOW!! I READ AND WRITE!! :3

I think everyone but me saw Dark Knight now.

And Kung Fu Panda. Hellboy II. Wall-E.

...I saw Indy 4! YEAH. And Transformers! Which was like best movie theater experience since Jurassic Park man.

....I don't go to theaters much. |D I get antsy waiting for movies to come out on DVD but I like watching them at home muchos better than in a crowded movie theater. ^^

I've never sang this song, not in public. It was my secret song... to sing when I thought of Lyra. My mom and my sister and my daughter have heard me sing it, but that's all. I was going to sing it at me an' Ly's wedding... but... obviously that didn't work out. But I want her to know... if she can somehow read this... that I haven't forgotten her. I still love her, very much. So, Lyra... this is for you.

So. Yeah. I love you Lyra. And I will see you again someday. I don't know how, but we'll be together again. I promise.

SSSSSSUUUUUUUUREEEEE. also if you don't want to post it, don't. I just want questions. DD:!

I got my hair cut a bit yesterday. I've been getting it cut a little shorter every time so I'll gradually have a short haircut I want (ending about midway down my neck). It's slightly above my shoulders now...it hasn't been like this since I was 12 or so. XD I just figure getting it shorter and shorter is better than having it cut all at once, cuz then I might not like it and I'd have to get used to seeing myself all over again.

annnddd I've been poking around for new MMOs to try out so now I'm enjoying a trial of City of Heroes/Villains.  the utter customization of everything that you can do is a big draw for me.

oh and I went to my college's overnight orientation thingy last weekend.  it was pretty nice and I met some friendly people.  and I had 8 facebook friend requests when I got back ffffffff
